Multi-factor Authentication

Multi-factor authentication is a security process that requires the user to provide two or more forms of authentication to verify the user’s identity and gain access to the system.

You can implement MFA at the application level (for example, as part of a web browser) or at any other point in a system where access is controlled by an access control method such as passwords. MFA is made up of at least two out of three factors. A mobile phone, a password, and something you have (like a hardware token) are all required before you can sign into your account.

Why is Multi-Factor Authentication Essential?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an added layer of security that requires your users to provide two or more methods to verify their identity. It protects you from identity theft and loss of access. You can also further manage your access to applications and data with conditional access. By integrating with identity technologies, Amidas seamlessly provides end-to-end secure access from the cloud to on-premises resources, allowing customers to manage their users and systems centrally on one platform. We are also here to help you configure MFA on the Azure Active Directory, which helps protect your organisation from account compromise attacks.
